IT hosting capabilities offer organizations greater flexibility in how they manage e-discovery using the Viewpoint all-in-one e-discovery platform
HOUSTON, December 10, 2012 – Lateral Data, a Xerox company, today announced the availability of Viewpoint™ in the cloud for law firms, corporations and service providers. The hosted service offers organizations that have licensed Viewpoint full control over their own or their clients’ e-discovery projects utilizing Viewpoint, but eliminates the capital and operational IT costs associated with supporting, maintaining and scaling Viewpoint infrastructure to meet project-specific or business needs.
For organizations that opt to outsource Viewpoint IT functions to the cloud, rather than install and manage the all-in-one software on-premise, Lateral Data will host and manage all IT infrastructure utilizing Xerox’s state-of-the-art, highly scalable and secure SSAE16 Type II-compliant hosting facilities. Clients will remain in full control of managing the Viewpoint application – including the platform’s fully integrated pre-processing and processing, review administration, analytics, Viewpoint Assisted Review and production functionality – along with its own data.
“Our IT hosting capabilities give clients even greater flexibility in how they manage e-discovery,” said Matt Berry, CEO of Lateral Data and senior vice president, Xerox Litigation Services. “Now, they can choose to outsource all IT functions associated with Viewpoint to our cloud, which offers the benefits of eliminating capital expenditures, resource constraints and other bottlenecks in turning Viewpoint ‘on’ immediately.”
All infrastructure, hardware and third-party software required to support and scale Viewpoint is available for a monthly hosting fee. The service is supported by Viewpoint application knowledge and highly trained professionals with extensive expertise in e-discovery processes, workflow and chain-of-custody procedures.
Organizations will also benefit from hosted proof of concepts free of charge, which can be set up and accessed within 24 hours.
The service is available immediately.
